This kit repairs one(1) headlight motor left or right side. If you need to repair both sides then please select a quantity of two (2) items .
This is the highest quality repair kit you will find for the do-it-yourselfer to do a basic rebuild of the gear assembly in your General Motors headlight motor. If your headlight motor spins but does not open the headlight, opens the headlight partially, or keeps running with a clunking noise after it has opened or closed then this kit is what you need. If you need to repair both headlight motors then please select two (2) items above.
This kit includes a new high quality MADE IN USA headlight motor nylon gear, a new side cover gasket and three new precision machined Delrin torque pins. These torque pins are the best you can buy because they are precision machined +/- .0001" for even torque spread around the entire gear. These pins will not deteriorate and break up over time like the OEM gel pins.
As a bonus I will also include a package of high quality OEM gear grease.This is the same grease that I use when rebuilding headlight motors for customers.This is also the same grease that was originally used in your headlight motor when new and is designed to preserve the nylon gear. This grease has a high film strength so it stays put and won't run or melt with a effective operating temperature from -20 degrees to +600 degrees.Other sellers do not include OEM grease. WARNING! Beware other sellers passing off bearing grease as "GM Approved" for this application. Any grease that will flow or break down over time is wrong for this application and will eventually coat your brushes causing failure! Trust me I have seen this first hand.

No other seller on eBay can offer this to you!Most headlight motors fail because of the failure of the OEM torque pins causing the gear to slip on the drive shaft. Cheap hand made replacement torque pins which are incorrectly or inconsistently sized are most often the reason for damaged or broken gears.
