If you are having trouble with your sequencing turn signals this is what you need. It is a well-written and diagramed manual, worth every penny. These are the 1967 and 1968 Mercury Cougar service department manuals on Sequential Turn Signal & Emergency Flasher Systems. They cover principles of operation, trouble shooting and wiring diagrams. They show color schematics of what wires have power when the turn signal switch is in every position and when each light that flashes.
The 67 manual is quite extensive. It has 55 pages of everything you ever wanted to know about Fords turn signal sequencing systems. Page after page of indebt explanation and wiring diagrams of each stage of the sequencing operation and ending up with 20 pages of a block diagram troubleshooting guide. It really takes you step by step “if this” “then check that”. It tells you all the color-codes and what wire went in what connector and what the connector looks like.
