This is an extremely solid and well preserved California Vanagon Air-Cooled exhaust pipe, (commonly called a \"crossover pipe\"). There\'s a moderate amount of surface rust but the pipe is still strong and should provide years of service. The threaded portions of the pipe - the bolt connectors for the left-side manifold, the port for O2 bung and the port for the exhaust gas \"sniffer\" - are all in excellent shape.

I\'m pretty sure that his same exhaust piece was also used in the 1979 California Type 2 vans but I leave it to you to satisfy yourself that this part will fit your particular vehicle.
