Finally the long-awaited CAPRISTO Valved Exhaust system for the Corvette is here!! It fits both Corvette Z06 and ZR1. Each of the mufflers has two outlets, with one side having a butterfly type valve which allows the exhaust flow to be shut off, regulating which side of the muffler the flows exhaust. The butterfly is controlled by a vacuum valve, which we built and developed completely by CAPRISTO. On the Z06 and the 2008 C6 with the NPP option, this valve is controlled by the onboard ECU. The valve opens based on RPM and throttle position.
The problem is that the factory OEM exhaust is very quiet, even with the valve open. Our expertise here at CAPRISTO is getting the tone right for your Corvette, and we think we nailed this one. Even in the closed position, the tone is deeper, louder, and more aggressive. Open the valves, the overall volume and tone increases to the point heads will turn when you drive up.
If you do not have a Z06 or 2008 C6 with NPP, you need to order our exhaust package which includes the programmable remote control kit. We have used the engine as the vacuum source (it is the same port the factory uses for the NPP) and the installation is simple and straight forward.Usually this part is in stock, in case of a backorder we will contact you inmediatelly and if you agree to the time frame the part will be imported from Germany, usually takes less than 10 days!
