Installation:
1. Open packaging and remove fuel door cover.
2. It’s always a good idea to test fit the cover and determine how you will lay it on once the tap is attached.
3. Peel strips of 3M adhesive from backing and place on the back side between the rivets.
4. Clean fuel door on your vehicle with an alcohol based cleaner that leaves no residue.
5. Rubbing alcohol or non- streaking Windex will also work.
6. Make sure the rag you are using is clean and is not contaminated with oil or any residue! I prefer to use a fresh microfiber shop towel when doing this. Paper towels should not be used because it can scratch the paint.
7. Once the door surface is clean then you can peel the remainder of the protection from the tabs of adhesive, make sure you align the cover before pressing down. I like to center it hovering over the fuel door and then attach one side aligning the rolled edge of the cover against the hinge side and then lay it over to the right pressing firmly...once attached it is very hard to remove it.
8. It is best to do this on a warm day or in a warm garage. Avoid trying to attach it at temperatures below 60 degrees without using a hair drier or heat gun to warm the surface of the door first.
