Up for sale is this freshly powder coated black wrinkle front valve cover that was removed from a '91-'96 Dodge Stealth (ES, R/T & R/T Turbo or RT/TT) with the DOHC 3.0L V-6. This will also work on all '91-'99 Mitsubishi 3000GT models equipped with the DOHC V-6 engine (SL, VR-4), though the raised lettering is different; they originally had "(Mitsubishi diamond) Mitsubishi" above the top and "V-6 DOHC 24V" along the bottom.
This color and finish matches what the O.E.M. did from the factory, except this will last much longer than paint.
This valve cover was stripped of its paint using a chemical paint stripper, followed by a pressure wash before getting bathed in a parts washer; the final clean was with a pressure washer. This is the only way I'll do valve covers to help ensure that no abrasive media comes in contact with the inside of the cover.
Once powdered, I then sand down the lettering and put a coat of Shark Hide on the exposed aluminum for years of protection from the elements. I also polish the set screw & Shark Hide it too before applying thread sealant and fastening it to the cover.
Please refer to the photos to see just how nice everything looks. You will need to supply your own oil cap, PCV & gaskets/spark plug tube seals. I would suggest using OEM as I've yet to experience any leakage issues with them. Please refer to the factory service manual for proper installation instructions and don't over-torque the bolts as they only need 2.2 ft-lbs of torque.
