If you are looking to maximize the amount of storage in your Z4 and at the same add comfort, our Mark4 Armrest is the perfect solution. With 48.75 Cubic Inches of interior storage space, the Mark4 is more of a stowbox than an armrest. We wanted to offer owners as much enclosed storage space as possible, especially since the Z4 has such a small glovebox and other interior stowage locations. The Leather covered lid is hinged on the back allowing access to the storage area below.
Mark4 armrest is designed to bring both drivers’ and passengers’ elbows up to a height exactly equal to that of the outboard door armrests in the Z4. Equal elbow height has proven to reduce fatigue on long trips and improve posture. At the same time, the Mark4 is not too high as to interfere with gear shifting. We use the same padding in the Mark4 as we use in all of our other padded products. It’s not too hard and not too soft. It provides a sporty feel and unbeatable resilience.
Before placing your bid, please take a few moments to sit in your car with your left elbow on the driver side door armrest and hold your right elbow at an even height, this will give you a feel for how tall the Mark4 is. It does take some time to get used to the new armrest, typically a few days, but please do some research before hand–I do not take returns on ebay auctions: it is too much of a hassle.

The Mark4 Armrest installs in minutes using 3M Very High Bond tape. It comes with detailed instructions. Cars equipped with BMW Assist (the clear plastic door with 2 buttons at the back of the console) will require the addition of a small prop to allow the door to open freely with the armrest installed. I include the prop with every Mark4 purchase.
