THIS IS FOR A PAIR OF UNPAINTED DOOR PANELS for a TWO door E36. Please note that if installed on an E36 with airbags, you will have to relocate the door latch rod to the outside of the door. We also offer flat door panels which do not require the relocation of the rod.
If you own an E36, chances are you have dealt with dreaded door panel issues of deterioration and falling apart. If you have a track car, even better. These door panels are made from 0.060″ aluminum and feature a door handle cut out, as well as a series of 3/16″ holes to mount them. These panels set themselves apart from others on the market, in that they are boxed in order to clearance the window motor, and they will not bulge like a flat panel. We also include a bracket for your door handle to relocate it out to be flush with the aluminum door panel. Shown, is a set of panels painted in the factory Hellrot color to match our shop car, with 4\" aftermarket speakers and our door pulls. Please keep in mind, these door panels come UNPAINTED, and the painted image is just for a visual reference.
The E36 door does not have many places to mount a door panel to, but these holes locate great mounting locations for your choice of fastener, though fasteners are not included. Many choose to install these panels with nutserts for easy removal in the future. The mounting holes do not disturb the factory mounting holes, so you can revert to factory panels at any time. The panels will be shipped in an unfinished, raw aluminum finish. If no hole options are specified during checkout, we will send the panels with only door handle holes.
Custom panels are available without door handle holes, speakers holes, mirror switch holes or other mounting holes. We can make the panels in other thicknesses, and can also cut custom designs into the panel, or overlay a vinyl graphic as well. Contact us for more information regarding custom work.
