This is a rebuilt Rochester 4 Jet, model 4GC, four barrel carburetor. It is the original equipment carb for 1956,1957 and 1958, Chevrolet Impala, Bel Air, Biscayne, 210 and 150, with 8 eightcylinder engines. Rochester literatureshows the application as:1958 Chevrolet 348 with Turboglide,This carb was rebuilt by the TOMCO Carburetor Company previously of Vernon,California. The TOMCO number is 4-62.The literature from the rebuilder lists the application as:1956 - 1958 Chevy, w/8cyl., Automatic transmission,The rebuilder cross-references their number to the following GM Rochesterpart numbers: 7008737, 1956 Chevy, w/8cyl. 265 Eng., Power Pack,7009846, 1957 Chevy, Early, w/8cyl. 283 Eng., Powerglide,7011108, 1958 Chevy, w/8cyl. 348 Eng., Turboglide,7012126, 1957 Chevy, Late, w/8cyl. 283 Eng., Powerglide,7012128. 1958 Chevy, w/8cyl. 283 Eng., Powerglide,This carb is stamped 7011108 on the front of the main body (as seen in oneof the photos). I believe that meansthat this carb was originally on a 1958 348 Turboglide car.Other sources on the internet show this as the correct carb for 1955-1958Chevy with V8 engine. It may also fitother GM 8 cylinder cars. Please doyour own research to be sure that this carburetor is correct for your application. This carb has been rebuilt but I assume thatthe warranty is no longer valid.
