Nitto G2 tires

To be honest I\'m not a huge Nitto fan but with the new G2 everything I read was positive. They have good wear, traction and performances industry rating. I\'m running them on a 2015 Mustang GT and so far I have no complaints. I do wish Nitto would have put out a 295/45ZR18 or even a 305. I have 255s on front and 285s on rear and with the lowering springs they give the car a very nice looking stance.

The five categories I marked as GOOD (Wet Traction, Ice Traction, Light Snow Traction, Hydroplaning Resistance and Quietness) are N/A in my review so I gave them a Good (neutral) rating. The reasons are as follows: I live in FL so there isn\'t any snow or ice, I do not drive the car these were installed on in the rain and I can\'t hear the tires over my exhaust. These were installed on a supercharged 96 Impala SS with 450 RWHP through a TCI Streetfighter to a 3;42 Posi rearend. There isn\'t a street tire made in my stock size 255/50 Z17 that grips if I floor the accelerator off of the line. The G2 grips better than other tires I\'ve had and provides a solid feeling when cornering and hard breaking. The difference is especially noticeable with a 10 to 20 MPH roll-on and the bark at the second gear shift. IOW, they provide a higher level of confidence when pulling out in front of or crossing 3 or 4 lanes of traffic. I am very happy with these tires, especially with the great price I got them for from TireBuyer.com. These were about $150 cheaper for a set than the Kumhos they replaced and IMO, provide better dry performance.
