A little bit about our refinishing process...
As a refurbishing facility, we receive wheels with minor cosmetic damage whether it be curb rash, minor dents/dings or other surface imperfections. The first phase of our process includes stripping the wheel down to the bare aluminum. This first step is important to not only get rid the original finish but to remove dirt and grime, so that a thorough inspection of the raw wheel can be administered. By doing this any structural defects the \'core\' or used wheel might have, can be clearly detected and removed from process. Any wheel being found to have major structural defects is then scrapped out and we start again with a new \'core.\' Perfection Wheel does not repair structural issues in order to ensure the integrity of the OE wheel.
The wheel is then taken to repair where any cosmetic imperfection is fixed and the wheel is refinished to LIKE-NEW condition. Each wheel is clear coated with a powder clear which we have found to be the most durable. Ateach phase of our process,thewheel is spun to ensure the final product is within specto ensure proper balance.
The last stage of Perfection Wheel\'s process consists of a final quality inspection, where once again, the wheel is spun to ensure spec compliance and the final finish of the wheel is looked over.
Perfection Wheel\'s final quality check entails a 3-5 pt inspection. Given that we are taking a used, cosmetically damaged wheel and re-working it to look like-new, Perfection Wheel\'s standard allows 3 to 5 separate, but minor cosmetic \'imperfections\' in order for the wheel to be considered a GRADE A Quality Refurbished wheel. These separate but minor \'imperfections\' do not include issues caused by the Original Casting such as porosity, corrosion on mounting surface/center bore due to interaction of hub and wheel, or the original wheel composition being prone to corrosion.
