Buyers... please... understand, fully, the very seriousimplications of the DSR Stars system...

Unless there is a real problem with your transaction, which the Seller will not respond to and work out with you (for a satisfactory outcome), please, leave Positive Feedback & 5 Stars in all areas.

Just a coupleof those 1's or 2's, or even a few 3's, will quickly put a small Seller out of business. The 4's can very quickly cost the Seller all of the various Discounts they have worked so very hard to earn. And, along with that, cause their Listings to not show up in Searches. These nasty effects of each "ding"linger for 3 to 12 months !!

One of the most frequent & frustrating for a Seller is this sequence:

Post Office sets the rates for Postage (Seller cannot pay them less to ship it), eBay takes 9% or 10 % from the Sellerfrom what they list for the Shipping & Handling charge, Seller has to buy the packaging materials (boxes, bubble, tape, labels, printer ink, etc.)...

so, Seller puts into the Listing their Shipping & Handling charge, letting the Buyer know before they ever Bid or Buy exactly what the S & H Charge (& thus their Total Cost for the Item) will be...

then, the Buyer agrees to those sameTerms OfSale, pays exactlythe Total Costthey have agreed to pay, andreceives the Item exactly as described...

and then turns around & rates the Seller at less than 5 Stars for the Shipping Cost !!!!!!!!

The smaller volume "Mom & Pop" USA-basedSellers (mostly retirees, disabled, under-employed working poor, or at-home parents) are the ones who are hardest hit by low DSR's or Neutral/Negative Feedbacks, while many of the huge (many of them Asianoverseas) Sellers gleefully absorb them into their high volume.

So, please, be kind & fair. Understand that the eBay system functions in such a way as to punish a Seller for DSR's less than 5 Stars. (And, the percentages involved mean serious financialhits to the little people who can least afford it.)

In the real world, 3 out of 5 would be Okay ~ but, in the eBay world, 3 out of 5 will mean Out of Business.

Please... Save the dings for those very few Sellers who actually scam & steal & lie & knowingly sell junk they describe as perfect& don't give a darn about getting your purchase to you in good order.

And, always give your Seller a fair & reasonable opportunity to work with you before you leave any DSR Stars at 4's or lower, or a Neutral/Negative.
