It fires quickly, and heats up to a bright, white light. I'm including the level and exterior cover as well (1 tab missing). If your connector looks different, you can still use this bulb; see my notes below. Two styles of connectors were used on the factory bulbs for 1997 and 1998 model years. The round style, most commonly found on 1998 models, and the square style, most commonly found on 1997 models. The round style easily unplugs, while the square style require cutting of the wires. If you currently have the round style, and buy a round style bulb, it will simply plug in. If you do not have the round style connector, or purchase a replacement bulb, you will need to cut and splice the wires to install. This is easily done as there are only 2 wires. Just match up the colors, and you are good to go. If you have any questions, just ask.There were 2 different mounting styles used as well; small screw, or brass nuts onto studs. You will need to reuse the hardware that came originally with the car to install a replacement bulb. All mounting patterns are the same between bulbs, so any 1997 or 1998 OEM bulb can be used.
