What is the reason for the core charge?
These motors are no longer available new from GM or in the aftermarket so rebuilding the existing motors is theonly good option.Without a core charge we would not have a constant supply of motors tosell,and you would not have any options to purchase these motors in remanufactured condition.So please remember to return your core(s) so that we can continue to provide quality re-manufactured headlight motors to our friends in the Fiero community. ****VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY.........Every headlight motor is completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned (as shown in my pictures) to remove 20+ years of dirt and grime and the internal lubricants that with time have become more like sticky glue than lubricating grease. The brushes, armature & commutator are all inspected for wear and replaced, when necessary, the nylon gear and bumpers are replaced and properly lubricated with the correct OEM grease for the application. The bumpers I use are firmer than others for better activation of the limit switch. Every moving part is lubricated to be sure it is moving freely as it should, new O-ring installed on the shaft and then the housing is sealed and reassembled with new stainless-steel bolts for long lasting corrosion resistance.The entire assembly is fully bench tested to assure your headlight motor is working perfectly before shipped.
WARRANTY.......All headlight motors come with a2 year no hassle warranty (3 year with aluminum gear upgrade). If you have a problem with your motor just send it back and it will be repaired or replaced and shipped backto you within 2 business days or less. No nonexistent, 30-day, or 3-month warranty here! Just remember "you get what you pay for". A cheaper price is not always the best value!

I have a solution, but it will require that you send in your complete front 84-86 headlight wire harness for modifications. It will also require that you obtain a working headlight motor control module from a 1987-1989 Pontiac Fiero, Firebird or Sunbird or from an 88-96 Corvette and if possible, also get the control module connectors and wire pigtails.
