This is a 1976 Cadillac 500 cu. in. V-8 engine and transmission that comes out of an Elderado Fleetwood. This engine has all the components you need to drop it in your favorite car or hot rod. It has the manifolds (intake and exhaust), alternator, and distributer with wires and plugs. It also comes with an A/C compressor water pump and fan, power steering pump and automatic transmission (rear wheel drive). The only thing missing is the carburetor.
I bought a 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood from an old man who had just got the engine overhauled at an engine shop. You can tell by the way it runs and if you look in the engine bay it has all new gaskets on the engine. The radiator had clean anti-freeze in it and the engine has fresh oil in it. He showed me a receipt of the work done by the shop which cost him $1,000.00. So I bought the car which was very rusty, got rid of the car and kept the engine and transmission.
Engine block casting #: 1486200; Exhaust manifold casting #: right is 1486442 and left is 1486383.
Drop this big block in your hot rod and enjoy the horsepower and torque.
