Description
1973 Buick Electra 225 Fan Shroud. This came out of a 1973 Buick Electra 225 with air conditioning. It is the fan shroud for engine cooling. It is made out of off white injection molded plastic.
I painstakingly made sure not to damage it in any way when removing the 455 engine. Every one of my old cars has a fan shroud that is damaged in one way or another; cracked, broken, warped, melted, you name it. This one is amazing. It is sooo cool. It has both the engine coolant overfill reservoir and the windshield washer reservoir too.
This thing is indescribably filthy and you are gonna have to clean it up for a show car. None of the mounting brackets are broken, there are no cracks, and no glaring physical damage except 40 years of crud. In my somewhat educated opinion this probably fits LeSabre and Centurion 455 cars and maybe even Riviera too. It probably also fits other model years like maybe some or all of the 1971 to 1976 full sized Buicks. I just don’t know. On the inside of the part there is a big easy to read part number cast in. It reads B-1242253. So that should tell you guys if it fits your car if your broken one has this part number.
I am in no way a ‘70’s Buick full size car expert. I just buy these things to harvest the 455 engines for all my Skylarks. I save what I can for other collectors. How this thing survived 40 years in the desert is beyond me. It must be made out of really high quality material. All my black ones from the late sixties to early seventies always break. Olds, Pontiac, doesn’t matter. They always break. This one is just great.

Please keep in mind that all items came off 40 year old cars, mostly in junkyards. These have been cleaned and debugged, deleafed, deschmutzed and spiffied up, and in some cases look almost N.O.S., but they ARE NOT. All of our stuff is nice, some VERY NICE, but it is still JUNK and will have some defects somewhere. If you are looking for N.O.S., Martys-GM-Junk is not the place for you.
