You are looking at a very RARE ORIGINAL Assembly Line Fan Shroud for aaFord 429 Cobra JetSuper Cobra Jet FordTorino or Mercury Cyclone. This is an ORIGINAL DOOB Fan Shroud for a High Performance 429 CJ or SCJengine in a 1970 or 1971 Ford Torino Cobra or Mercury Cyclone.
I believe this also to be correct for a 1971 Mustang or Cougar when equipped with a 429CJ engine as well, but this particular shroud was removed from a 1970 Torino Cobra many years ago when it was turned into a Drag Car.
This is a decent ORIGINALtake off Fan shroud and while it is a very good piece it does have a couple of spots that will need some attention. The shroud has 2 splits in it that will need to be addressed and a small chip on the bottom that is an easy fix and really won\'t be seen once installed.This Shroud is an assembly line piece and not a later service piece. It has the \'horse hair\' grain as well as the Ford Logo\'s on it. It carries the correct and original DOOB-8146-D engineering number on it and alsocarries the obligatory Barnum Bros. Fibre Co IncLogo as well.This is the REAL DEAL and is a very decent piece that needs and easy restoration. These are were often discarded and are not currently accurately reproducedmaking them very difficult to come by today. If you are looking at this auction and need one of these; then you know exactly how hard these are to find.
