You should only need 14 bulbs for the interior.I include 2 extra bulbs in case you have the \"EAGLE EYE\" tail lights. The trunk light LEDs are different on cars with these tail lamps.
I am a BMW owner/aficionadoand an electronics engineer (20 yrs) by trade. I had looked for a reasonably priced LED lighting kit for some time and was not successful, so I decided to source my own. I found suppliers that make the proper sized lights and the properdimensions, etc. It took me quite a bit of time to find all the best lamps, now you don\'t have to spend your time doing the same thing - and I\'ll give you a good price as well!
With other LED kits, the vanity mirror lights will flicker as the visor is opened or moved! Not good for the wife approval factor...I was not satisfied with the performance of any of the available lights for the vanity lights, so I custom made my own. BMW vanity lights are switched on by a contact inside the visor, that only supplies power to the lamp when the visor is flipped down and the mirror cover is open. All the lights that I found on the market would quite noticeably flicker or vary in brightness as the visor is moved around or folded up/down. This occurs due to the contact resistance inside the visor, and isimperceptiblewith regular incandescent lamps. The LED lamps on the market will sharply cut off between 10-12v, so a small amount of voltage drop from the normal 12 to 14v of the battery can cause the lamp to go out or flicker. My custom made lamps for the vanity will operate down to 5v, to vastly improve the flickering issue.
I have hand assembled this kit from select LED manufacturers to meet my own personal preferences, which are:-better illumination (brighter) than stock lighting. My wife loves the fact that she can see that no one is hiding in the car when she unlocks it at night, even with dark (15%) window tint.-vehicle still have a stock, but a more clean and modern look - unlike some of the kits out there with a blue tint, etc.-reliability - many manufacturers over-drive the LEDs with too much power to make them brighter, which causes them to overheat and wear out much faster. I chose lamps that are being driven within specification to ensure longer life.-passengers will think the car is newer than it is with the clean white led glow when I open up the vehicle :)-no flickering when the vanity lights are operated!-I fine tuned the brightness of the vanity lights so they are not blindingly bright when operated at night. If the vanity lights are too bright, they are virtually unusable for seeing your face/hair at night.
