This engine and transmission runs excellent and is perfect for streetrod project or replacement. The L76 is an all aluminum6.0 Liter engine that was removed from aG8. Similar to the LS2,the L76 has better flowing heads and features displacement on demand for added fuel savings.The G8 has excellent accessory placement making it a great choice for hot rod applications. This is THE MUST HAVE engine!! The LS seriesengines, which this is based on,have proven themselves extremely versitile and reliable in both Corvette and F-Body platforms. We have sold over1000 LS1 engines in the past three years! L76 is the latestoffering and will be featured in the new Camaro as well.This is for the builder who wants the best.

The Hydra-Matic 6L80 is a 6 speed, clutch-to-clutch, rear wheel drive, electronic controlled transmission. The planetary gear sets provide the six forward gear ratios and reverse. The changing gear ratios is fully automatic and is accomplished through the use of a transmission control module located inside the transmission. The TCM receives and monitors various electronic sensor inputs and uses this information to shift the transmission at the optimum time. This is very similar to the trans in the C6 Corvette. Can be configured for manual shift (clutchless or paddle)
