Excellent rack, questionable instructions
The roof rack itself is pretty good, especially considering the price. When assembled, and if assembled properly, it is solid with no give. You just have to follow the instructions (as shown in the attached image); I've read a lot of complaints regarding the instructions that come with the unit, on how the rack sits crooked or uneven, how it "whistles" or makes noise while driving, and how the included instructions are blurry and difficult to read. I have had the rack on for little over a week, and while it hasn't experienced any rain yet, I am not too concerned about leaks, as a used RV adhesive sealant caulk around the vehicle's bolt holes and under the washers; as an extra precaution, I used a clear marine caulk around the bolt heads... perhaps a little overboard, but after having read ... When using the attached instructions, even though the rack assembled nicely without issue, there are a couple rough spots: placing the rear bars is a bit awkward (manageable, but awkward), and trying to tighten the horizontal supports is difficult. For the bars, as long as you haven't tightened the side assemblies, you should be fine; with the supports, you may want to grab your channellock pliers, as the adjusting wheel is on the bottom (and doesn't give your hands much room to get in there). **Mounted on a 2007 FJ Cruiser**

With the exception of the feet (the 6 locations that contact the roof of the FJ), this is a quality roof rack. Those 6 feet however, are angled incorrectly (not parallel to the roof and roof rack - see pics) and caused much grief when installing. It's doable, but with sweat and some choice swear words. Because the feet don't lay flush with the roof, I'll RTV the edges to keep moisture out. It's just Ok
The rack seems very solid. The feet are angled wrong. It took much effort to attach the rack to the roof. There are gaps between the feet and the pocket where the bolts screw in. I'm hoping these do not leak. I did marine silicone the bolts. The instructions were terrible amd useless.

The product is not a good fit. Cheap aluminum and plastic part imitation made in China that does not fit properly on the roof. If you don’t mind the how it looks, it should be fine for light loads
