Better Handling.
1997 Nissan Hardbody D21 extended cab. The truck handles great now. I should have done this along time ago. Corners nice and flat with just some slight body roll when entering the corner. The install took me 3 hours. I took my time with it. Jacking the rear of the truck up makes tightening the U bolts easier. It will give you more clearance. There is a bracket on the right hand side of the axle that needs to be cut off for the passenger side U bolt to fit in the correct spot. I used a sawzall with a metal cutting blade for this. All the bracket does is hold a wire relay so it’s not a big deal. Remove the wire harness and take your time with it. There are brake lines and a fuel tank close by so easy does it. I carefully re-adjusted the brake lines on the axle by hand so that they do not ... 1997 Nissan Hardbody D21 extended cab. The truck handles great now. I should have done this along time ago. The U bolts should be tilted towards the front of the truck about 3/4” of an inch from center of the axle. Once the U bolts are tightened lowering the truck helps line up the sway bar end link holes with the frame holes before you tighten them. Tightened everything up to spec with a torque wrench and took it for a spin. Truck handles a lot better when cornering. No more leaning over like a boat. Kit comes with shorter end link bolts if your truck is lowered already. Mine is stock. If you are looking for a Hellwig rear sway bar don’t bother. They have been discontinued for this truck model. Just by the Belltech it cost less and does the same thing. Very happy with it.
