This item weighs 3. 8 kg whilst the Bosch unit wghs 6.1kgs. The bosch starter is a dinosaur. Bosch unit lasted 350k s. Works on a VR 5.0 litre HSV clubbie and the long bolt had to be packed with washers to compensate for the difference in the mounting base. The difference is amount 10mm.

The only thing that would have been great (and an extra) is a printed copy of the wiring diagram modification for internal vs external Reg alternator conversion in my old Landcruiser.
