Need help with LT1 engine in Nashville please

Hi, I have a 95 Formula, LT1 (5.7) with about 45K miles...keep having issues with leaks (shop that replaced/installed the engine have handled those yet they keep "creating" new probs) now I need a new distributor, the seal is leaking spewing oil everywhere. I am keeping it full of oil, (need to get the 850.00 I was quoted to rplace the dist) today I start it and am getting really rough engine, a weird knocking not conistant like arod might be, I ahve plenty of oil pressure....would oil covered plugs.wires create a metal type of knock?

Being a woman, I get a lot of BS tossed my way...any advice, or referrals for honest, knowledgable repair shops or mechanics in Nashville? Thank you!
