V6 Turbo Swapped Nissan 240sx – Build Tips and Street Hits

May 29th, 2020

Greetings speed enthusiasts and other gearheads. Allow me to introduce Andre Cargrill and his Ugly Duckling. Andrew has been 15-years building the version of the Ugly Duckling that hits the streets (of Mexico) today.

Last time we saw Andrew’s car, a 1995 Nissan S14 240sx, it was equipped with a turbocharged Nissan KA four-cylinder engine. The four-banger was more than adequate – and Andrew builds a really nice ride – but he wanted a little more. Now, the duck is powered by an Infiniti (Nissan) VQ35HR V6 motor with a massive turbo. Numerous modifications were necessary for the chassis of the Duck to accommodate the V6 engine. In typical fashion, Andrew’s plan of action was intelligent and his execution was meticulous. This is one of the cleanest builds that you will find anywhere.

Andrew not only fitted the engine for optimum balance and efficiency, he modified the timing components and lubrication system to overcome factory shortcomings. Maximum output is estimated to be over 1,000hp.

This is a quality build that is only going to get better. Climb in and hold on!
