Tweeker Twin Turbo Jeep Dominates at War in the Woods

January 31st, 2023

The Tweeker Jeep has had an interesting journey to the Brown County Dragway for War in the Woods. The entire rig was stolen and recovered. The circumstances of the incident left the Jeep with the nickname Tweeker. I’ll allow you to draw your own conclusions.

Here’s the rundown on Tweeker: Under the hood is an LC9 5.3-liter V8 engine. The all-aluminum (block and heads) LC9 features a 6-bolt main bearing confab, powder I-beam connecting rods and flat top pistons. The cylinder heads are fashioned with cathedral shaped intake ports and 65-millimeter combustion chambers. This V8 is being force fed by a pair of turbochargers that the owner won in a raffle. The transmission is a 4L80E automatic. Maximum output is figured at 750-800hp and Tweeker weighs-in at over 3,700-pounds. This Jeep is running on a hard tire in the Street Tire Class. Gird up your loins – it’s racing time!

After a victory in Round 1, Tweeker finds himself in the semifinals due to a rainy evening.

In the semis, he takes home another win – against a Teal Camaro – and moves on the Finals.

This time Tweeker comes out of the hole strong before knocking the tires off and losing traction. He gathers it back up and loses the Final Round by less than a car length. Better luck next time.
