Turbo Silverado vs. Supercharged Mustang – Street Hits

Roll racing is frowned upon by some. Usually those who haven’t tried it. My heart will always be in the dig, but there is something exhilarating about hitting the interstate for some high-speed shenanigans. Boosted vehicles are ideal for roll racing because they have ample opportunity to spool-up before the racing begins at 40, 50, or 60 mph. From there, it’s pure power through 140 or 150 mph – what’s not to love?

This clip features street (roll) racing between a diverse group of vehicles. There’s a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck with a 5.3-liter engine and Garrett S480 turbocharger. The combination is good for 850hp. There is a C5 Corvette with an LS1 and a 250hp shot of nitrous and a Gen VI Ford Mustang (820hp) with a Paxton supercharger. There are a few other cars, too. Should make for an interesting evening of street hits.

The truck and the ‘Vette will roll out first. In multiple passes; the Corvette is no match for the pickup.

Next, we have a bonus competitor taking on the Silverado. The Pontiac G8 sedan looks stock but runs strong and takes the truck FTW!

Finally, we have the pickup against the Paxton Mustang. In a close one, the Ford gets it done and gaps the Silverado.

More bonus racing on the end with some seriously modded-out metal. Take a look.
