Terminator Swapped Fox Body – Street and Strip

February 7th, 2019

The most memorable words in film are uttered by the most memorable characters. When Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator character said, “I’ll be back”, the phrase was etched in the memories of people all over the world.

Featured in this video is a slick Fox Body Mustang that is dedicated to bringing the Terminator (engine) back, single handedly. First introduced under the hood of the 2003 and 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra, the Terminator was an iron block supercharged (Eaton 112 Roots) 4.6-liter V8. Forged Manley pistons and twin H-beam connecting rods (with special wrist pin lubrication ports) were added to the bottom end. The 32-valve DOHC engine was rated at 390hp and 390 lb.-ft. of torque.

Exact power output is unknown, but this car has been upgraded with a VMP Gen III Supercharger, an air-to-water intercooler setup, fuel system upgrades, exhaust system upgrades, and a full accoutrement of bolt-ons. After watching the clip, I would say it has plenty of power to be fun.

The manual transmission is a Tremec T-56 with a McCleod clutch and the car is burning E85 fuel.

After several passes on the drag strip, you get a chance to climb onboard and take some street hits in Old Mexico. This car is as clean and interesting as any we’ve seen. Take a look!
