Honda Powered Lotus Runs Sub-10-Second 1/4-Mile

Watch as the crew from King’s Performance, of Orlando, Florida, campaign their unique creation during the 2015 Streetcar Takeover Event. It is a Lotus Elise with a turbocharged Honda engine under the bonnet. The video shows the Lotus posting a 9.55-second pass @ 156.25 mph. King’s Performance opted out of the stock Lotus running gear and replaced it with a mid-mounted four-cylinder Honda K20A1 engine being force fed by a Precision 6266 turbocharger. Redline Motorsports, Pompano Beach, Florida, is turning out some pretty incredible hot rods. One of the best is this 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 owned by Howard Tanner. Although track conditions were not ideal on this particular evening, Tanner managed to lay down a 7.98-second 1/4-mile pass at 179.35 mph on only 10-pounds of boost.
