First Glimpse – 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera

July 13th, 2016

Hot off the presses! Here is a first look at the latest and greatest new Italian supercar – projected for introduction later this year in Paris or Geneva (Auto Shows). This is the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Superleggera taming the historic track at Nurburgring. When the experts really want to know what a car is capable of, they turn to this grueling 3.199-mile track that legendary F1 racer Jackie Stewart nicknamed “the Green Hell”. The 2018 Huracan Superleggera (meaning “super light”) seems up to the task with typical Lamborghini handling and performance. The Superleggera version is approximately 220-pounds lighter than the Read More

Lamborghini Huracan vs Tesla Model S P85D Ludicrous Drag Race

June 19th, 2016

Check out this race between a 2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 going up against a Tesla P85D with the Ludicrous upgrade.   The Huracan is powered by a 5.2L V10 putting down 602 horsepower through a 7 speed dual clutch transmission and the Tesla has two motors with 502 HP in the rear and 259 HP in the front.  However, the torque difference is pretty big between the two, with Tesla making well over 700 ft lbs and the Huracan making just 412 ft lbs. duPont Registry shows the P85D selling for around $110k with the Huracan coming in at $230k on the used market. 205 MPH 1.4 Mile Huracan

June 14th, 2016

I love these ride-along videos. This is one such video in which an exquisite Lamborghini Huracan takes on a Ferrari 488GTB and posts a top speed of 205 mph in the 1.4 mile Hypermax IV event. This clip comes to us from the historic Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds in the United Kingdom and features one of the most iconic supercars of the modern era. The “affordable” Huracan sells for around $200K and is equipped with a (mid-mounted) high-revving 5.2-liter V10 engine. It is offered in all-wheel (602hp) and rear-wheel (571hp) drive configurations. It has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (no manual offered Read More

Battle of the Italians – Ferrari 488 GTB vs. Lamborghini Huracan

May 24th, 2016

This is the stuff that civil wars are fought over; which one is faster – the Lamborghini Huracan or the Ferrari 488GTB? Mama Mia! Let’s take a look and see. The Ferrari is making 661hp (at an amazing 8,000 RPM) using a 3.9-liter V8 engine. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3-seconds, has an adaptive suspension system, and a price tag of nearly $250K. In the other lane; the (all-wheel drive) Lambo is churning out 602hp with a 5.2-liter V10 engine. It has a 7-speed dual-clutch automated transmission, the capacity to accelerate from 0 to 60 Read More

World Record Quarter-Mile Pass for OBP Lambo

February 26th, 2016

The OB Prestige Auto Racing Team showed up at the drag strip and showed out by setting a new 1/4-mile world record (8.97-seconds @ 165.47 mph) for a Lamborghini Huracan. Just check out the time slip for yourself. This emerald green, all-wheel drive beauty rolls off the factory floor with some pretty impressive credentials but what Heffner Performance adds is nothing short of miraculous. They start by building the 5.2-liter V10 engine to the brink of being completely bullet poof, then add a twin turbo package and a MoTec engine controller. The 7-speed dual clutch automatic is then treated to Read More

Supercharged Lamborghini Huracan

November 19th, 2015

Momma always said, “Nobody likes a whiner” but Mom, there are times when a good whine can be quite pleasant. For instance, when this killer white Lamborghini Huracan rounds the bend and you hear a startling whine as he jams on the accelerator and plants the rubber to the pavement. That whine is from a Eaton TVS2300 roots type supercharger sitting atop a 5.2-liter V10 engine. The entire package is produced by VF Engineering from Anaheim, California. This Lambo is also equipped with a 6061 aluminum intake manifold with an internal bypass and high-flow dual throttle bodies with high-flow MAF Read More

2300HP TT Lambo Huracan Breaks Half-Mile Record 238 MPH

November 18th, 2015

Underground Racing is on the cutting edge in turbocharged high-performance technology and they proved it again at the WannaGOFAST Texas 1/2-mile event in Sulpher Springs, Texas. This awesome looking twin-turbocharged Lamborghini Huracan (driven by KC Howeth) posted a world record-setting speed of 238.6 mph; besting the old record by nearly 4 mph! The previous record holder was Gidi Chamdi and he was also piloting an Underground Racing prepared Lamborghini when he set it. Gidi’s car is a Superlegarra and we know that he’ll be back shortly to carry out his next move in this high-speed battle of one-ups-manship. The Lime Read More

Stolen Lambo vs Fatt Cat’s Challenger

November 3rd, 2015

When street racing, it pays to “Drive it like you stole it”, as the old saying goes. In this clip it is alleged that the driver of the 2015 Lamborghini Huracan may have actually stole it. He is an automobile transporter out on the town and looking for a thrill. If you only have one shot at seeing how you measure up in a street race, then you’ll want to head down south of the border (I didn’t know that there was a city in Mexico called Houston, hmmm) and look up a hustler named Fatt Cat. Chances are that Read More

700HP IMW Honda Civic Battles Supercars

September 15th, 2015

Check out this footage of the Innovative Motor Works Honda Civic going toe-to-toe with some exotic supercars. The business of the day is done as 65 mph roll racing. First, the “little import that could” lines up against a mighty 700hp Mustang Shelby GT500 and whips him handily. Next up is a turbocharged Toyota Supra, which is also narrowly dispatched. The Civic isn’t able to get a handle on the awesome sounding supercharged 775hp Corvette and gets beaten by a nose. Finally, an odd contest with a lame Huracan and a bad Bavarian wins easily. The Civic is outfitted with Read More

Drag Racing Huracan vs 918 Spyder

September 9th, 2015

These are two seriously elite supercars and they are lining up head-to-head on a closed airstrip for a one-mile race with a rolling start. Both cars begin rather timidly and proceed gently to 60 mph – then all hell breaks loose! The Lamborghini leaps out in front of the Porsche and scampers down the track at a break-neck pace. Around 140 mph the 918 overtakes the Lambo and leaves him in his wake. As you probably know, the Huracan is Lamborghini’s newest creation. It features all-wheel drive, a 602hp V10 engine, and a price tag of $240k, or about $4,000 Read More
