3200HP Fox Body Mustang

May 14th, 2016

Some folks say that we do things a little different in the Deep South and I reckon that is true for the most part. However, when it comes to Lights Out 7 events at the South Georgia Motorsports Park, ‘different’ just might mean some of the baddest cars on the planet. Here’s an example: Mustang Mike is campaigning a beautiful Fox Body Mustang with a massive 670-cubic-inch LS7 billet engine and a pair (yes, I said a pair) of ProCharger F1X superchargers making 43-pounds of boost at 7,000 RPM. This car has one of the most unique supercharger setups that Read More

Street Racing – Beater Bomb Mustang vs. TT Nova

April 29th, 2016

This is street racing at its finest. It features the classic battle between Chevrolet and Ford (sort of – you see, the Mustang is equipped with an LS engine). Nevertheless, this is some awesome heads-up dig racing action that takes place on a beautiful day in an abandoned industrial park, beside a giant retaining wall for excellent sound effects. Multiple camera angles make this an outstanding video; there’s even a ‘down-and-dirty’ angle at the finish line. The Mustang hooks up and jumps out early, carrying the front end down the track virtually the entire distance. All the while, the lead-sled Read More

Texas Streets – Black Jesus vs. TT Lamborghini

March 28th, 2016

After whipping BoostedGT (from the Street Outlaws television series), this Fox Body Mustang known as Black Jesus decided to ratchet the competition up to the next level. While it’s always good to keep pushing yourself in order to get better and faster, this step may be a little overkill. The new “kid” on the streets comes in the form of a 2,000hp twin-turbocharged Lamborghini (detuned to around 1,500hp for some street racing action). Black Jesus is making somewhere in the neighborhood of 970hp using a small block Ford engine (with a single turbocharger force feeding air into it) but this Read More

Texas Street Racing – BoostedGT vs Black Jesus

March 22nd, 2016

It has been said that everything is bigger in Texas. Well if this video is any indication, the saying certainly applies to street racing. You may recognize one of these competitors from Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaw series. Yes, this Canary Yellow Mustang is none other than Chris Hamilton in BoostedGT. Chris has made this new edge Mustang famous but he and Team Z are currently working on a S197 body style Mustang that will be even badder. The new car will feature a small block Ford mill (like the present car) but will be upgraded to a twin turbo setup Read More

Lucifer Mustang Conquers the Concrete

March 3rd, 2016

Despite its horrifying name, this Fox Body Mustang might have died-in-the-wool Ford aficionados dancing in the streets. There is no LS engine here. It’s a good old big block Ford mill with a pair of four-barrel throttle bodies nestled beautifully on top. This is unapologetically a nitrous driven devil of a car. Due to the poor track conditions, the crew was only administering a 400hp shot of laughing gas but in premium track conditions Lucifer has handled a 900hp shot. This is No Prep racing from “Conquer the Concrete” in Noble, Oklahoma. For this event, all the rubber compound and Read More

Street Racing – New Mexico Style

October 23rd, 2015

This video is over 6-minutes of heads-up dig (and roll) racing on the streets of New Mexico. All the likely suspects are present and the action is “muy caliente”. Here are some of the highlights from racing into the New Mexico night. A 740hp 2004 Subaru WRX STi with a Precision 6466 turbocharger destroys a 600hp WRX STi. The Terminator Mustang Cobra takes apart a 700hp all-wheel drive Honda Civic, a 400hp Dodge Neon, and gives a 750hp Mitsubishi Evo a good run for his money. A 600hp twin turbocharged Infiniti G35 goes against a 630hp Cadillac CTS-V and a Read More

Street Stampede Import vs. Domestic

August 10th, 2015

This epic battle between two potent street machines is reported to have been a long-time in the making. This time the racing is of the “dig” variety, making strategy even more important. While this is indeed a battle between import and domestic, it could also be classified as a contest between a classic sports car and a modern supercar. It is one that involves an older Fox Body Mustang and a late-model Nissan GT-R. Both these competitors have radically modified their proverbial steeds. The Fox Body has a built, balanced, and blueprinted small block Chevy with a healthy assist from Read More

700HP AWD Civic Taking It to the Streets

July 22nd, 2015

Check out this clip! If you really want to get the jump on the competition, try switching to all-wheel drive. This innovative cat salvaged the traction-happy components from an earlier model Honda vehicle, and then did whatever was necessary to deliver 700hp and 583-lb.-ft. of torque to the four corners. He certainly gets out of the “roll” quicker than the 1,000hp Mustang Fox but can’t hold the Ford off at the midway point. Here is a bit of the Civic setup: Begin with a stock block 1.6-liter Honda V-TEC engine with forged rods and internals, add a Precision 6262 Turbocharger Read More

Outlaw Street Car Reunion 2 Memphis Madness

April 16th, 2015

The Outlaw Street Car Reunion 2 X275 Eliminations from the Memphis International Raceway yielded this awesome clip that includes representatives of virtually every domestic auto manufacturer in head-to-head action. Instead of the Outlaw Street Car Reunion, this looks more like the Mustang Fox Body reunion. There must have been 20-high quality Fox bodies in attendance at this 1/8-mile event. Of course, there are also some fast moving Chevrolets from various eras, as well. There is even a fantastic looking Burnt Orange Mopar in the form of a late model retro-Challenger. It posts a 4.67-second pass at 155.79 mph. Most of Read More
