Street Grudge Match – Ludicrous Tesla vs. Vette Z06

July 6th, 2016

This is 1/8-mile dig racing and there’s cash on the line when this Tesla is called-out by BigKleib34 in his C6 Corvette Z06 with upgraded cylinder heads and camshaft. The Tesla makes short work of the ‘Vette before spanking a Fox Body Mustang – then the cops show up. After relocating to an undisclosed location (probably somewhere else in Mexico), a couple of capable Mitsubishi Evo sedans show up, along with a Porsche Turbo S. The Tesla is playing possum until the final race when it gets spanked by the second Evo. Check it out. NOTE: We neither condone nor Read More

Corvette Z06 with Rear Mount Turbo

June 24th, 2016

This is another turbocharged Z06 Corvette – with a unique twist. Instead of the run-of-the-mill front mounted, flow-through turbo, this ‘Vette has the turbo mounted in the rear. This design helps to remove some heat from the engine compartment. The turbocharger is connected to the exhaust near the outlets and an air-to-water intercooler is mounted in the trunk, almost directly above the turbocharger. A second heat-exchanger is located in front of the radiator. This car is still in the developmental stages and already running in the 9-second range. With a few more events under their belt, this team figures to Read More

Corvette Z06 vs. Old School Turbo Nova

June 21st, 2016

This clip shows us a classic battle between a Gen III Nova and a late model Corvette Z06. Besting a Z06 in the 1/4-mile is a monumental task for any overweight muscle car and serious bolt-on modifications (to the ‘Vette) just serve to make matters worse. To even up the competition, the ’73 Nova is equipped with a late model Chevy LS engine and a turbocharger. It looks awesome with that low slung stance that is so typical of this era of Novas. It also has a full roll cage and a TH400 automatic transmission. There’s another close race between the Read More

Corvettes Battle on the Streets of Old Mexico

May 20th, 2016

It is a rarefied occasion when I happen across a video in which the camera car is the bully on the block. Well, this is one such video. If I had to choose a catch-phrase for this clip, it would undoubtedly be “see ya” in reference to the commentary that takes place inside the camera car. The camera ‘Vette is red. It is a C5 Z06 with a camshaft upgrade and a Vortec supercharger. Power is estimated at 664hp. The blue C7 Z06 has unknown modifications and claims 750hp. To keep things interesting, there is also a Gen V Coyote Read More

This is straight-up, 3-wide street racing action between a couple of power house sports cars and a Honda. First, the big dogs line-up for some 60mph roll racing. After the GT500 gets through skinning the ‘Vette, the Chevy takes out his pent-up aggression on the Honda in progress. Horsepower is estimated at 1,000. The Corvette C6Z is equipped with a 100-shot of laughing gas and Read More

Witch Hunt! 1100HP Toyota Powered Corvette

January 5th, 2016

When your eyes come to rest upon a bright red Corvette Stingray, with its classic lines and low, athletic stance, the last thing that you expect to find under the hood is a 2JZ Toyota Supra engine. You might be shocked to discover how many racing enthusiasts are downright offended by this unique setup. It has even been dubbed the “Hater Maker” because so many people have taken exception to an imported power plant in a classic American muscle car. I say, live and let live! This beauty has a fresh 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder with billet main caps, upgraded pistons Read More

Now toss in a C7 ‘Vette (911whp) with a F1A Procharger, upgraded cylinder heads, a methanol injection kit, and a Borla exhaust system and you have got a serious horsepower situation. Now, run and tell that! This is a back-and-forth affair on some less-than deserted streets. Just when the Read More
