What would happen if a luxury sedan like an E39 (1998-2003) BMW 5-Series went up against the almighty 707-horsepower Dodge Charger Hellcat in a rolling drag race? That depends upon whether or not the BMW is an M-Sport with a lighter turbocharged 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine from a M3 Coupe. 2015 BMW M3 F80 on the Dyno

EAS got their hands on a brand new 2015 BMW M3 F80 Sedan and gave it a few runs on their DynoJet Dyno.  BMW’s latest ///M has a 3.0L Inline 6 Twin Turbo engine rated at 425 horsepower and 406 ft-lbs of torque through a dual clutch transmission.   On the dyno the M3 put down 424 horsepower and 425 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels.  Using an estimated 13% driveline loss for it’s DCT transmission,  that puts the new M3 at 487+ horsepower.
