Supercharged Audi R8 vs. Lamborghini Aventador

This is a video that takes us behind the scenes. We get to see some great street (roll) racing, but we also get a chance to see a sample of the many hours of labor that are spent making these cars so fast and reliable.

The shop is Race Proven Motorsports (RPM) in New Castle, Delaware and they are turning out some of the most impressive street racing GM vehicles on the planet.

Production begins with a 2017 Camaro ZL1 with a manual transmission. It will undergo a dyno test to obtain stock horsepower before getting some serious modification in the form of an RPM Stage 5 kit. Factory output is discovered to be 576whp. That should double before these guys are finished.

If you want to skip to the racing action, it’s at 12:35. As advertised, we have an Audi R8 with a supercharged V10 engine racing a Lamborghini Aventador. He also races a hopped-up Corvette ZR1.

The first race is between a C6 Corvette Z06 with camshaft and cylinder head upgrades and a Lambo with a performance tune and exhaust system. The Italian gets him the first time (barely) but when the Z06 drops the laughing gas – ‘Vette FTW!

Tons more racing action (and behind the scenes) on this one. You don’t want to miss it.
