So, it seems that the 1320 Video crew have contracted an AMS Audi R8 V10 Plus build. Scheduled today is the first start-up, tuning and test drive. Car owner (and 1320 honcho) Kyle Loftis has flown in from Nebraska to the AMS West Chicago facility where he will be treated to a permanent smile that cannot be slapped off his face. Join Kyle as he gets his first look – and listen – at the high-powered Audi. Keep in mind that it has only been three-weeks since he dropped the car off. At that time, it was bone stock. Before this video is complete, Kyle’s car will demonstrate a dyno certified 1,200+whp.

Many of you know that the Audi R8 is based on the same platform as the Lamborghini Huracan. It utilizes a naturally aspirated V10 engine in an all-wheel drive, mid-engine configuration. The AMS Alpha 10 Kit turns the naturally aspirated V10 into a twin turbo beast. It adds Garrett GTX turbos wrapped in AMS Lava Rock blankets. Intake piping and intercoolers are custom crafted, tig welded and powder coated by AMS. The Alpha exhaust X pipe is Tungsten ceramic coated. The transmission and engine are completely disassembled and rebuilt with precision performance components, including billet gears (transmission). A specially designed intake manifold, fuel system and boost controller are included in the Alpha 10 Package.
