Here are some interesting pictures taken with a thermal camera of a Nissan GT-R. Thermal cameras can measure temperature from a distance showing the brightest (warmest) parts of the image are customarily colored white, intermediate temperatures reds and yellows, and the dimmest (coolest) parts blue/black.
Shown in the image is a front view of the car where you can clearly see heat escaping from the vents in the GT-R’s hood and bumper. The intake manifold is also shown while the engine is running, the black areas are much cooler as the intercooled air is brought into the engine. Also pictured is a wheel/brake rotor, side profile and an exhaust shot.
