Nissan GT-R Launch Control does 0-60 MPH in 2.98 Seconds

December 23rd, 2009

We had the chance to test a tuned Nissan GT-R to see how well it’s updated launch control performs. Take a look at this video showing the 2009 Nissan GT-R ripping off 0-60 MPH in 2.98 seconds on the street as measured by a G-TECH Pro RR performance meter. The Nissan GT-R makes running 0-60 MPH in less than 3 seconds super easy. Simply hold down the brake, step on the gas until the RPM’s reach 3,000, let off the brake and away you go. It would be tough for any car to hold it’s own against the Nissan GT-R on the street from a dead stop. The car in the video has a custom tune that bumps up the boost a bit along with some K&N drop-in filters. We wonder what some of the more highly modified GT-R’s are capable of, 0-60 MPH in 2.5 seconds on the street?
