Mustang Mania – 1300WHP GT500 Takes on the Streets

January 5th, 2021

This short clip features a sweet Ford Mustang GT500 with a massive 3.8-liter Whipple supercharger. Recent modifications include a set of 1700cc fuel injectors. This pony is reasonably streetable despite being equipped with a spool in the rear end. The build pairs the ability to break traction in every gear with a stable idle when needed. Nice ride.

The backdrop of the evening is a gathering of roll racers determined to compete on the interstate (in Mexico). There is a whole herd of Mustangs on hand. If you like Mustangs, this is a can’t miss video for you. While grudge matches are set up in advance, there is no doubt that challenges will be issued as the evening unfolds.

In the first race of the night, we have a 670whp Roush S550 Mustang with a 2.3-liter blower versus a ProCharged Mustang GT350. There are a couple of close hits before the GT350 ends up baking the clutch.

Next up is a hit between a Roush Mustang GT and a BMW X3M. The Beemer has been tuned, has a modified exhaust downpipe and it is running E85 fuel. Shockingly, the BMW walks all over the Mustang FTW.

Now, we have a Scat Pack Dodge Charger (485hp and 475 lb.-ft. of torque) against a stock 2018 Mustang GT with a 10-speed automatic transmission (460hp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque). Again, I am surprised when the Ford gaps the Dodge in multiple rolls hits and a dig pass.

Loads more street racing action on this one. Check it out.
