McLaren has put out some official performance numbers for their new McLaren P1 Hyper Car. With a 3.8L V8 Twin Turbo gas engine augmented with electric power for a total of 903 HP, this lightweight car (3,100 pounds) is sure to amaze in any category, including the 1/4 mile.   Power to weight for the P1 is just 3.43 pounds!  The performance stats directly from McLaren are:

• 0-62mph: 2.8secs
• 0-124mph: 6.8secs
• 0-186mph: 16.5secs
• Standing 1/4 mile: 9.8secs at 152mph

That’s quicker and faster than the last regular Veyron (1,001 HP) we saw at the track running 10.1 @ 139 MPH.  We should also note that McLaren states 10.8 @ 130 MPH for the MP4-12C and we were able to run much quicker with a 10.3 and 10.5 @ 135 MPH in our tests (McLaren MP4-12C Tests).
