Magnuson Camaro ZL1 vs. Twin Turbo Mustang – Texas Street Showdown

January 4th, 2022

Tonight, we head down south of the border for a night of top-tier street racing action. Featured are modified domestic and imported machines representing the supercharged and turbocharged camps. Without further ado, let’s take this to the asphalt.

The first camera car of the evening is a supercharged C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 that has been modified with a set of high-performance cylinder heads and a camshaft upgrade. This 800hp Chevy bad boy is ready for action.

The first victim is a supercharged Chevy Camaro ZL1 (also with heads and cam upgraded). The ‘Vette is running a 7-speed manual transmission and the Camaro has a 10-speed automatic. As these two cars pull alongside one another (at 60 mph) on the interstate, the exhaust note is hypnotic. “One-two-three” rings out in the night air and both cars launch forward violently. The Camaro jumps ahead for an instant before the Corvette tracks him down and puts him in the rearview mirror. Corvette FTW.

Next on the hit list is a BMW M6 modified with a PureTurbos kit. This time, the two cars come out almost even. They remain that way until the Corvette finally pulls away after a few seconds. Great race and another win for the Corvette.

Hey, there’s tons more street racing action on this one. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it.
