Lucid Air GT Performance vs. Dodge Charger Jailbreak – Drag Race

July 22nd, 2022

Here’s another one of those battles between raw American performance and precision American technology. Two vehicles could not be more different from one another. One is total electric, and the other is pure nostalgia. Let’s have a look.

The Lucid Air GT Performance is an electric executive sedan produced in the United States. With electric motors in the front and rear, the all-wheel drive Lucid Air GT Performance can produce the equivalent of 1,050hp and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5-seconds – and that ain’t even the fastest model. The Air Dream Edition Performance can generate the equivalent of 1,111hp. These cars are very expensive, very sleek and luxurious and extremely fast. The GT Performance version can turn the quarter-mile in 9.67-seconds @ 149.87 mph.

In the other lane is the 2022 Dodge Charger Jailbreak sedan. A supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI High Output V8 engine gives the Jailbreak sedan its get-up-and-go. It is capable of churning out 807hp. This Mopar can turn the quarter-mile in 11.56-seconds @ 134 mph and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4-seconds. If the rear-wheel drive Jailbreak seems a bit overmatched, you might also consider that it is nearly 700-pounds lighter than the Lucid Air GT Performance.

What’re we waiting for – let’s get these beastly sedans on the asphalt.
