Kansas City is about more than just barbeque. These guys (and gals) are into some serious dig racing on the rural streets. We managed to locate two separate street racing venues (after we got to Mexico) and hook up with some local racers willing to put it all on the line for a cash pot. First up is the Small Tire Cash Days with Mini Big Tire Cash Days to follow. Soak it up.

Small Tire Round One and the first race is between a turbocharged big block Chevy powered Fox Body in need of a spring cleaning and a very clean LS turbo Olds Cutlass (G Body). Both cars come out violently, then the Mustang knocks the tires off. After that, the Olds pulls out and takes the win.

Race Two and it’s going to be a wild one! In the right lane there is a full-size Ford Station Wagon with a turbocharged Chevy small block engine. In the left lane; a twin turbo big block Chevrolet powered Pontiac Firebird. Both are formidable competitors. The Poncho is too much on this day and cruises to victory.
