Father & Son Campaign Small Block Nitrous Camaros

April 14th, 2015

Rhodes CamaroRon and Ronny Rhodes, from Townsend, Delaware, are turning heads with their 1968 Camaros. Take a look at the video as Ronny posts a 4.48-second 1/8-mile at 155 mph and “the Kid” lays down a 4.95-second pass at 141.68 mph.

Ron’s cherry red ’68 Camaro RS is “loaded for bear” with a 414-cid Dart Racing Engine. It incorporates a Callies crank, GRP rods, Ross pistons, and a Competition Cams camshaft. The cylinder heads are RHS, the intake manifold is made by Dart, and the exhaust gases are pushed out through Hedman exhaust headers. A Pro Systems carburetor handles the go-go juice supplied via the Aeromotive fuel system. Nitrous is delivered by a Stage 2 Kit from Induction Solutions. Shifting duties are handed using a Hutch PG transmission with a PTC converter. The rear end is a Moser FAB9 and the wheels are Weld, wrapped in Hoosier slicks.
