Electric Miata Assault & Battery kills the tires on the Dyno with 1,350 ft-lbs of Torque

August 20th, 2014

electric-miata-assault-battery-dynoJohn from LoneStar EV Performance in Houston, TX put his Assault & Battery Electric Miata on the dyno for the first time to see just how powerful the 2000 amp Zilla controllers feeding dual NetGain 9-inch motors are.  They initially had some trouble on the dyno since the instant torque of the electric motors caused the huge slicks to go up in smoke on the dyno rollers.

After a few tries of slowly rolling into the power they were able to get somewhat of a clean dyno run with the Miata putting down an astounding flat 1,350 ft-lbs of torque from 0 to 3,000 RPM in 2nd gear.

Check out the video below and also take a look at it’s 9.1 @ 144 MPH 1/4 mile run done at Royal Purple Raceway last year.
