Dodge Challenger Hellcat vs. BMW M5 Competition – Street Hits

January 26th, 2022

This video goes a long way towards proving that the grudge between import drivers and domestic drivers still burns deeply. We have a series of roll races (on the highway in Mexico) between the best that Detroit has to offer and the potential king of the Bavarian sports sedans.

The big Dodge (approximately 4,500-pounds) is sporting a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The blown HEMI can generate 707hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque in stock trim. This particular (2016) Hellcat has been modified with a catalytic converter delete package, an aftermarket high-flow intake manifold, supercharger pulley upgrades and a performance tune. With the mods, this Mopar turned 808whp on the dyno.

Under the hood of the all-wheel drive 2019 BMW M5 Competition is a twin turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine that can produce 617hp and 553 lb.-ft. pf torque. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic. This Beemer has been enhanced with a set of high-flow exhaust downpipes, an aftermarket intake manifold, an xHP transmission controller reflash and a performance tune. Adjusted maximum output is estimated to be 700whp.

Today’s races are scheduled to unfold as follows:

First race will be from 60 MPH to 150 MPH

Second race will be from 45 MPH to 150 MPH

Third race will be from 55 MPH to 150 MPH

Enjoy the action!
