In the first race of the ultra-competitive Street Outlaw Class, this SS Camaro takes on a Gen II Camaro. In a close race, the Gen I takes the victory.

This 3,500-pound street car is powered by a 400 cubic-inch engine being force fed air via an 88-millimeter turbocharger. Fuel Tech handles engine management. Max horsepower is estimated at 2,500 but it’s turned down to around 1,800hp tonight. That’s still good enough for some 9-second passes. Not bad for a car that you can hop in and drive your girl to the show on Saturday night.

In the quarter-finals of Street Outlaw, the SS is taking on a Gen IV Camaro. SS gaptizes him for the win.

Well, it’s the finals and SS is in the right lane against a diesel F-150 in the left. They both come out of the hole quick. The pickup knocks the tires off and has to drive out of it. SS FTW in the money round!
