Mark Carlyle ran his 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with Twin GT35R turbos at Norwalk Raceway Park, OH and pulled a very impressive 9.04 @ 157 MPH. This twin turbo vette is putting down 1023 horsepower and 986 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels on a DynoJet Dyno at around 14 pounds of boost. We’re not sure what kind of drivetrain losses the 4L80e transmission he’s running has, but we’ll guess this car is making over 1200HP with a 15% loss. That’s some serious power that is backed up by the very strong 157 MPH trap speeds.
The Density Altitude (DA) for the run was 1713 feet which demonstrates that this Vette is easily an 8 second car given some decent track and weather conditions. Congrats to Mark, we look forward to seeing some runs deep into the 8′s from this wicked street car.
