Chevrolet Camaro SS vs. Infiniti Q50 – Street Hits

November 8th, 2022

Chalk this one up as the latest battle in a timeless war between import and domestic. This contest will be a roll race between a twin turbocharged Infiniti Q50 and a naturally aspirated Chevrolet Camaro SS. After we get a closer look at the cars, you can pick a winner.

The Camaro SS is a rear-wheel drive coupe with a 6.2-liter V8 engine. In stock trim, the Camaro SS can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.0-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 12.3-seconds @ 116 mph. The all-aluminum V8 can generate 455hp and 455 lb.-ft. of torque. Featured in this video is a Camaro SS that has been upgraded with a set of exhaust headers, an E85 tune and a ported LT2 intake manifold. Passenger seats have been removed to reduce weight.

The Infiniti Q50 comes with a twin turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine that makes 300hp from the factory. This particular car has been treated to a performance exhaust downpipe, an E50 tune and the exhaust dumps right off the turbos. The interior has been removed completely. Oh, and it’s loud!

So, after you’ve considered the machinery, who do you think will win from 60 mph to 150 mph? Whatever the result, it should be a good race.
