Vengeance is Mine Saith… Ned – 1800hp Viper

August 30th, 2018

Vengeance Racing has developed a hard-built reputation as premier Corvette builders for their ability to wring power from the LSx platform. You can understand how an email from a Viper owner resulted in a request denied. He was courteously referred to one of the many Viper shops around the land. After more emails and repeated refusals, Viper owner Ned – not being a man who takes no for an answer – took a trip to Georgia to visit Vengeance Racing and plead his case to the powers that be. Being reasonable men, the guys at Vengeance brought the strange creation Read More

Legal Street Digs – Coffeyville, Kansas

August 30th, 2018

Coffeyville is one of the only places in the world smart enough to close-down a public street and let it become a moneymaker. How, you say, does such a thing transpire? Well, once a year, the good citizens of Coffeyville go in the No Prep Drag Racing business and street racers from all over the United States flood-in to spend their hard-earned dollars on motels and restaurants while trying to claim cash prizes and bragging rights on the blacktop. It’s great fun and (literally) the entire town gets involved. In addition to the carnival atmosphere; there are some big-name cars Read More

Real Street Racing – South Georgia Cash Days

August 28th, 2018

Yep, this is South Georgia (Mexico) alright. The dragstrip is no wider than a pig trail. There are more pickups entered in the cash days than cars. There’s a PT Cruiser running a 350hp shot of nitrous and if Colonel Sanders stepped out of the bushes (which are very close to the pavement) with a bucket of chicken, no one would be surprised. Right off the trailer, we got a heavily modified Nissan 300z against a V8 Chevy S10 pickup. Both racers leave the line clean but the S10 drags the import for the win. Race two of round one; Read More

1000WHP Forza Hellcat Street Hits

August 14th, 2018

Forza Tuning and Performance in Clearwater, Florida is turning out some of the baddest Dodge Challenger Hellcat contenders on street or strip. The feature car in this video is an example of the magic that can happen when a high-performance tuning facility and a car owner think outside the box. Like most ultra-modern speed shops, Forza provides a diverse array of preconfigured performance packages for the Hellcat, Demon, and many other vehicles. Unlike other hot rod shops, Forza is glad to go the extra mile when really fast just ain’t fast enough. After maxing his Challenger Hellcat out with a Read More

9-Second V8 Turbo Mazda Miata

July 30th, 2018

Greetings drag racing fans and welcome! Allow me to introduce you to the Orange Crush Mazda Miata. This great looking little roadster is a purpose-built quarter-mile car that puts up consistent 9-second passes. With that said, the car owner has made it painfully clear that he is unsatisfied with nines and wants to get this radically modified import into the eights – and he wants to do it today. Modifications include a large Chevy LS V8 (6.2-liter) engine (professionally built) with a set of BRC cylinder heads. It has an oil-less Comp, rear-mount,  76-millimeter turbocharger and a 100-shot of nitrous Read More

Pavement Pounding Ohio Cash Days

July 28th, 2018

When it comes to street racing, it doesn’t get any more real than this. Fifteen of the baddest street racers in the midwest have gathered on this narrow strip of blacktop to determine who will be the top dog. With $3,300 on the line, these racers know the rules. Cut the light prematurely and you lose. Cross the centerline and you lose. Avoid these two pitfalls and cross the finish line first – you win and advance to the next round. Repeat that seven-times and take home the cash and the bragging rights. Simple, huh? We’ll see. First round call Read More
