Emelia’s Maiden Voyage in the 1200HP Camaro Restomod

December 20th, 2023

Pretty Emelia Hartford is treating us to a test drive in her fresh build. It’s a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and she’s well heeled for canyon roads or the drag strip. We’ll go to Emelia and let her shuck out the details. Her name is Sophie and under her hood is a Texas Speed built 408 cubic-inch stroker V8 with a pair of Turbonetics 6566 turbochargers. Features for Emelia’s daily driver will include power steering – with a hydraboost brake setup – and cold air conditioning. Fuel delivery is left a Holley Dominator setup, including the fuel pump. The transmission is Read More

Win This Turbo V8 Swapped Chevy S-10 Pickup Street Beast

December 18th, 2023

The Street Racing Channel (SRC) crew are at it again. This time, they have built a special S-10 pickup to give away at Christmas. We are dropping in on Billy, Tommy, Rob and Tanner – Jimmy is hanging around, too – as they put the finishing touches on this street beast of an S-10 known as Sub Zero. On a side note, Dad is ailing with the flu and pneumonia. This truck was originally purchased with a tiny V6 engine. Despite being in Ohio, Sub Zero was rust free and clean as a pin. Nevertheless, the V6 wasn’t going to Read More

All-Motor LSX Swapped Chevy Vega – 650HP Restomod

December 15th, 2023

Thanks to Shawn from AutotopiaLA for finding this sick Chevrolet Vega in sunny California. This radical street rod is a creation of Bones Fab. As expected, it’s top notch. The 1973 Vega sheet metal rides on a custom 2-inch-by-3-inch chassis. The front suspension is a Chassis Works Mustang II, and the rear is a custom four-link setup. It has adjustable coilovers on all four corners. The rear wheels are Billet Specialties wearing a 14×31-inch tire and the front are 15×3.5-inch with a 26×4.5-inch tire. Manual Wilwood disc brakes adorn all four corners. Under the hood is a naturally aspirated Mast Read More

November 22nd, 2023

Hold your horses a minute. Did you say you were lining a Volvo station wagon up against one of the premier performance production machines in the world? You gotta be kidding, right? Wait until you get a look at this Volvo. The 2020 McLaren 570S is as stock as stock can get. The mid-engine rear-wheel drive two-seater is equipped with a twin turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 engine bolted to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With the capacity to produce 562hp, the 570S can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2-seconds and turn the standing quarter-mile in 10.5-seconds @ 149 mph. Read More

K-Swapped AWD Ford Escort Crucifies Nissan GT-R – Drag Racing

November 17th, 2023

Looking similar to a pink pig, this Honda K-swapped Ford Escort is into killing the competition. Prior to posting any runs at Street Car Takeover Charlotte, this car had run a best of 10.2-seconds @ 141 mph in the quarter-mile. Without a roll cage and uncertain about future passes, the car is running in limbo somewhere between exhibition and test and tune when he puts up a 10.03 @ 140 mph and a 10.05 @ 140 mph. The car owner astutely climbs into the 10-0 bracket for the remainder of the event. This Ford rides on an all-wheel drivetrain cobbled Read More

Fade to Black – 600HP Supercharged Shoebox Chevy Restomod

November 17th, 2023

Okay, you can’t talk about this car without some mention of the awesome paint work. The old pros at Kelly and Son Crazy Painters created this aesthetic delight of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air coupe. It all begins with a black basecoat topped with various shades of Raspberry Candy and Black faded to absolute perfection. This thing tickles my eyes. Underneath that beautiful paint and bodywork is a maze of aftermarket retro body panels bolted to a Roadster Shop chassis. The suspension is also from Roadster Shop. The brakes are Baer (four-wheel disc), and the wheels are Budnik. Under the Read More

Kong Ported Blower Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing – Before and After

November 14th, 2023

This video takes us on a journey (of sorts) as the Late Model Performance (LMP) crew perform a minor modification on a 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing sedan. Specialists from LMP will put the Cadillac on the dyno to get a baseline performance reading before installing a Kong ported supercharger. Afterwards, they will do a second dyno pass and measure the gains. It’s gonna be educational. The rear-wheel drive 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 668hp and 679 lb.-ft. of torque. In stock condition, the Blackwing can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph Read More

Vicious Mustang – 1003WHP Road Rocket

November 2nd, 2023

Now, this thing is fast! How many times have you heard that, right? Well, this time it’s true. How about 1,003whp and 885 lbs.-ft. of torque? Does that blow your skirt up? Here’s Shawn to give us a long, hard look at this compound boosted pro touring street menace. If the first glance seems a bit awkward, it could be the custom sheet metal over a tube chassis. It’s impossible to overlook the custom crafted carbon-fiber deck lid and hood. Very little of the original 1965 Mustang remains in this build. This is a full-blown race car. Enough of the Read More

Turbo Silverado Sleeper – Too Much for the Street?

October 27th, 2023

This video is an update on the Ugly Truck project. We follow along as LT details the build and shows us why the Silverado Sleeper pickup may be a bit much for the street. Too much power? Banish the thought. At the heart of this project is an engine swap. Out came the small block LS motor and in went an 8.1-liter big block truck engine. After a brief (150 mile) testing period to make sure the motor could take big boost, it was removed and updated with a Comp Cams camshaft and valvetrain. The stock intake manifold was ported, Read More

1969 Plymouth Roid Runner – Million-Dollar Mopar Restomod

October 18th, 2023

Despite being registered as a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner, this million-dollar restomod is built totally from one-of-a-kind body panels. Keep in mind, as your eyes crawl across this amazing work of art, that every single body panel began life as a piece of flat sheet metal. Even the roof is custom tailored to this car. Only the grille retains its stock shape. It’s a labor of love that’s eight-years in the making – and it still ain’t finished. Making this thing go is a 392 HEMI V8 engine. Upgrades include Dart cylinder heads, a Bullet Racing camshaft and an Eagle Read More
