2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 makes 760HP with minor modifications

LMR added some minor modifications to a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 which added over 110 horsepower to the wheels on their DynoJet.   The modifications included a different size supercharger pulley, American Racing 2″ headers, X-Pipe and a custom LMR ECU tune. In stock form the Z06 put down 559 horsepower and 543 ft-lbs of torque and after the modifications and tuning the results were impressive at 661 horsepower and 626 ft-lbs of torque.   Using a 14% drivetrain loss on the 7 speed manual transmission that puts this Z06 at 760HP. McLaren 650S vs MP4-12C on the Dyno

Fabspeed recently dyno tested the all new McLaren 650S before working on tuning the car for additional power.  The McLaren 650S is powered by a 3.8L V8 Twin Turbo engine producing 641 HP through a 7 speed DCT transmission. On the DynoJet the McLaren 650S put down 569 horsepower and 451 ft-lbs of torque to the wheels.  This is 52 horsepower more than the 2013 McLaren MP4-12C they tested on the same dyno earlier. Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Dyno Results

Editor: Rob Persiano   Evomsit recently put a new Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 on their Mustang AWD dyno for some baseline testing before they begin their ECU tuning process.  The Huracan is rated by Lamborghini at 610 horsepower with it’s 5.2L V10 along with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. McLaren MP4-12C Fabspeed Motorsports Tune Testing

Electric Miata Assault & Battery kills the tires on the Dyno with 1,350 ft-lbs of Torque

John from LoneStar EV Performance in Houston, TX put his Assault & Battery Electric Miata on the dyno for the first time to see just how powerful the 2000 amp Zilla controllers feeding dual NetGain 9-inch motors are.  They initially had some trouble on the dyno since the instant torque of the electric motors caused the huge slicks to go up in smoke on the dyno rollers. Dodge Challenger Hellcat on the Dyno

The team over at K&N had some time with the all new Dodge Challenger Hellcat and strapped it to their DynoJet to see just how much horsepower Dodge’s new beast of a car is actually making.  The Hellcat did not disappoint, putting down an impressive 635 horsepower and 591 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels through it’s 8 speed automatic transmission.  Using a 13% driveline loss that puts the Hellcat at around 730HP and 679 ft-lbs of torque. Tesla Model S Confuses a DynoJet Dyno

Emmanuel out of Alberta Canada put his 2013 Tesla Model S P85 on a DynoJet dyno for a couple of pulls to see how much power it could put down.  It’s not clear what happened, but the Tesla’s instant torque apparently confused the DynoJet dyno, causing it to max out the torque readings at 2,000 ft-lbs of torque. Obviously that’s not correct, but the horsepower numbers were inline with his Tesla Model S P85 putting down a relatively flat 436 horsepower to the wheels across a wide range of speeds, likely 10 MPH to 130 MPH.  Tesla rates the Model S Read More

Lamborghini Aventador with Nitrous on the Dyno

Kings Performance out of Orlando Florida took a Lamborghini Aventador and stuffed 4 large nitrous bottles in the front bonnet.  While we don’t have the dyno sheet, the video states that the nitrous pumping Aventador made 700 horsepower to all 4 wheels on the Mustang Dyno. We’ve seen stock Aventadors put down around 624 – 635 horsepower, so we’re roughly looking at a 75 wheel horsepower increase, enough to get this Aventador into the 800HP crank horsepower range. 2015 BMW M3 F80 on the Dyno

EAS got their hands on a brand new 2015 BMW M3 F80 Sedan and gave it a few runs on their DynoJet Dyno.  BMW’s latest ///M has a 3.0L Inline 6 Twin Turbo engine rated at 425 horsepower and 406 ft-lbs of torque through a dual clutch transmission.   On the dyno the M3 put down 424 horsepower and 425 ft-lbs of torque to the rear wheels.  Using an estimated 13% driveline loss for it’s DCT transmission,  that puts the new M3 at 487+ horsepower.
